AMON - Shemhamforash This was released way back in 95 , but I just happened to get it , so here it is . Hailing from Switzerland , Amon is very much a typical death metal band , though upon hearing this album , I would classify their music as being both death & black metal (perhaps only in vocal aspects) . Anyway they play well for this album without too much changes in their music structure . However , the somewhat hollow vocals sometimes come in at the wrong time & does not suit certain parts of the riffs well . On average , the band sounds bored and this album also contains a lack of aggression in it . A few pieces of solos injected offhand does however help to enhance some of those tracks . Anyway , considering the fact that this album was put out so long ago , I guess I would call it a pretty decent effort on the part of the band . House Recommendations : average release
